Tariffs

The tariff runs from Friday to Friday. Arrivals no earlier than 4pm, please, and departures no later than 10am. A non-refundable 25% deposit secures a booking. The balance is due four weeks prior to your stay.

A ‘good housekeeping’ deposit of £150 is requested with the balance, to be returned one week after your stay, or £350 if dogs accompany guests. Tariffs for short breaks and half term holidays are available upon request.

Dogs are welcome, but are limited to three at any one time. A £200 deposit is required for dogs, in case extra cleaning is required.

From the A35 Dorchester to Bridport road, drop down into the village of Litton Cheney.

Follow the road west through the village and past the White Horse pub on the left. Keep on this road past signs to Puncknowle; approximately two miles. After a crossroads there is a slight hill, at the bottom of which, on the left, is the turning to Berwick Farm. The entrance to Berwick Manor is the next left.
The nearest mainline station is Dorchester South. There is a bus service from Puncknowle – or Burton Bradstock – to Bridport, Dorchester and Weymouth. Bridport has a large Morrison’s, while Waitrose and Tesco are in Dorchester. Tesco will deliver to the Manor via internet shopping.
Bridport Market is held every Wednesday and Saturday, and Dorchester Market is held every Wednesday.

Chalk stream‘Catch and release’ fishing for trout is available on the farm; a DEFRA licence is required. A pond well stocked with Carp, is also on the grounds. Stabling and paddocks are also available for 2 horses. Storage is available for bicycles.

Berwick Manor is a large property set in the delightful rural setting of the Bride valley, in the heart of West Dorset. It is a short walk from Chesil Beach, and just a five minute drive – or an enjoyable cycle ride – to the sandy beach at Burton Bradstock.

Berwick Manor is part of the Puncknowle Manor Estate, which is about 3,000 acres of beef and arable farming in the peaceful Bride Valley, with its picturesque villages surrounded by rolling hills.

The Manor offers spacious, quality, 4-star rated family accommodation, and is well equipped for your stay. There are two reception rooms. One, with an open fireplace, can be used for quieter entertaining.

The other has a television, and video and DVD players. For the children there is a playroom with its own TV, video and DVD. There is complimentary high-speed wireless broadband. The kitchen/dining area contains an Aga – as well as an electric oven and hobs – and a microwave and dishwasher. A separate utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Seven bedrooms provide accommodation for 19 adults. On the ground floor there is an en-suite double bedroom. On the first floor are three double rooms, a dormitory with a double bed and four singles, and on the second floor a double room and a room with three singles..

A cot and highchair can also be provided. There are two spacious bathrooms on the first floor, a seperate WC and a toilet/shower room on the ground floor (aswell as the en-suite shower room). The house has its own – enclosed – private gardens, and ample parking. The tariff is inclusive of all bed linen and towels (except beach towels), central heating, electricity, and an initial supply of fuel for both the fire and barbeque.
